EV Star
GreenPower Motor Company builds purpose-built all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles for the delivery and cargo markets, shuttle and transit spaces as well as school busses. Its proprietary EV Star Cab & Chassis enables multiple upgrades or bodies and sets the standard for zero emission transport of people and goods. GreenPower also offers low floor electric buses for transit authorities, such as a 30ft EV250, 40ft EV350 and a double decker EV550.
Currently, the firm's fleet of buses comprises six models that share about 95% of their components. They're also capable of offering them at a much lower price than conventional vehicles, and that's especially important since government subsidies are shrinking.
The EV Star Cargo van is the latest member of GreenPower's fleet and was specifically designed for last mile delivery applications. It's a versatile design that's easy to customize and can be outfitted with a wide range of accessories for greater efficiency.
Its modular interior can be adapted to different configurations and body types, and it also features a full suite of driver assistance systems. In terms of charging it is able to be charged with AC level-2 in 8 hours at 11 kW or DC fast charge in two hours at 61 4 kW. The vehicle also has a vented HVAC and ADA securement.

In the passenger transportation space, GreenPower's EV Star Passenger Van sets the benchmark for performance, safety and sustainability. Based on the EV Star Cab and Chassis, it is configured with multiple upfits or bodies to meet the needs of different businesses and comes with seating capacities from 20 to 50 passengers. Its Altoona test score of 92.2 is the best in class, and it also offers ADA accessibility options.
As the demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, GreenPower is looking at ways to expand its production capacity. The company has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to incorporate Level 5 autonomy into the EV Star. This will be the first vehicle that can offer this feature. Contrary to most autonomous vehicles available today that are upgraded or converted GreenPower's EV Star was created with autonomy in mind from the beginning. Clean-sheet design allows for the integration of autonomous drive technologies in the future. GreenPower's EV Star is available in diesel and battery electric versions, with the latter offering up to 150 miles of range on one charge. It also has a large payload capacity that can accommodate an array of body styles and configurations. This allows it to be customized to suit a variety of uses including paratransit, employee shuttles micro transit and vanpool service. GreenPower already produces 10 EV Stars each month and plans to increase production according to demand. GreenPower will be able to provide the lowest total cost of ownership for its customers.
